Color e-paper display uses nanotubes

Samsung Electronics showcased the “world’s first” carbon nanotube (CNT) based color active matrix electrophoretic display (EPD) e-paper device at a trade show in Korea last week. The A4-sized device resulted from a collaboration with Unidym, a specialist in CNT-based transparent electrodes.

3G phone features e-paper rollout display

Polymer Vision is demonstrating a 3G HSDPA tri-band phone with a unique, rollable e-paper display this week at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The “Readius” device combines normal feature phone functions along with e-reader capabilities.

Wristwatch sports electronic paper display

Hong Kong-based Art Technology Ltd. recently introduced a line of fashion wristwatches based on E Ink‘s electronic paper display (EPD) technology. The entire watch dial on the “Phosphor” watch consists of an E Ink Vizplex EPD.
